STRUCTURE MAP INTRODUCTION

Introduction to the Structure Map

Summary

This analysis result shows the grouping of like formulas in a spreadsheet that was submitted to our server for analysis.

Details

The Structure Map is an XLS file that is generated after analyzing a submitted spreadsheet via Incisive Online. This analysis result shows the grouping of like formulas in a spreadsheet. These groups are referred to as regions. It is similar to a "static" version of the structure view iin Xcellerator. Xcellerator allows you to not only display the regions, but also to interact with them to investigate the cells used by a formula.

Each result in the Structure Map is identified by a colored border around groups of cells in the spreadsheet. Each group is either horizontal or vertical. Formulas with the same R1C1 and are also neighbors are groupled together. Xcellerator makes the results easy to see in a transparent window above the spreadsheet within Excel. The regions which are on hidden cells or hidden sheets are difficult to discover without Xcellerator because they remain hidden in this result. This type of analysis is available in Xcellerator - a desktop application. Read more about Xcellerator on the Xcellerator Product Page.

A few complimentary Structure Maps are available. Submit a spreadsheet for analysis today to see the power of the Structure Map result.
