This video demonstration will show you how to use Incisive Xcellerator to find formulas that are in areas that are mostly data. These obviously important cells will likely be accidentally overridden when new data is input into the spreadsheet.
Formula in Data Range
- Open your spreadsheet and click on ‘Start Xcellerator’ in the Incisive tab.
- WIn this example, one of the numbers in the data range is in fact a formula.
- The error that will be identified is ‘Formula in data range’
- To fix this, we will want to separate the data and formulas so that the data and formulas are in different columns.
- In this case, we can drag the formula into the correct column so that if the data were replaced, the formula would not be adjusted.
- Rescan to find that the error has been corrected.
